It's like a tiny C3 Corvette and it's cheap. I must have it!

An uncle of mine had one back in the 70s and I've liked them ever since. He didn't like it too much since it wasn't exactly reliable and it was his only car, but that didn't matter to me. It's beautiful.

I'll do an in-depth post once I buy it but I don't want to give away its location just yet. More pics are coming!

Don't blame you. I consider myself a pretty upright guy, and even I would try to snipe that one out from under you!

That's cool! My Grandpa actually had an Opel Kadett Rallye that I always loved. I think the GT shape has aged very well.

I certainly know the feeling! Car guys are like surfers: We're all chill dudes but very secretive about our finds haha

"It's like a tiny C3 Corvette!"
That is exactly what I have always thought about those cars and I'd love to have one too.
Best of luck to you.

Kickass :) if you're looking for a little more speed, I hear a Vauxhall/Opel Redtop is a well documented swap.

Its a genuinely endearing little car. I owned one for 6 years. Candy apple red, with a set of fined aluminum center side pipes from a corvette. Started out orange and rusty, took me two years to rebuild it with my dad. Blacked out all the chrome, put on a set allows that looked like polished teledials- I regret selling it. I added the pop out rear windows like yours has...they were fixed in 1970.
If you are going to keep the motor mostly stock, replace the solex carb with a holley-webber three barrel- they run so much better with it. And none of the hard start when warm BS the solex had.
Enjoy! Post more pics

My Dad and I each own one. There is a lot of info out there if you look. Start at www.opelgt.com for the latest. It takes a lot of work to make them fast but they are so light that a little power goes a long way.

That's great! How hard are mechanical parts to source? This one will likely need some seals and filters etc. Do you have any pictures of your cars?
